PHOENIX, Ariz. – Desert Schools FCU has introduced a new member service – Loan Direct – that lets members finance their vehicles, motorcycles, pools, watercraft and even homes directly at the dealer or business where they shop and, if they want to, under the "Drive Now" option, drive their vehicle off the dealer lot after receiving loan approval. Loan Direct has two components. The "Drive Now" feature and the "Graduate Loan" feature that provides vehicle financing to recent college, nursing or trade school graduates if they're employed but don't have a credit history. More than 150 dealers and businesses in the Phoenix area, including major franchised auto dealers, are affiliated with the Loan Direct program. Desert School is the largest credit union in Arizona, with more than $1.6 billion in assets, 236,000 members and 19 branches.
