TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Broward Schools CU President/CEO James A. Ray died unexpectedly on July 6, according to credit union EFT firm Credit Union 24. Ray was recently re-elected to the Credit Union 24 Board for a second term. Ray was President/CEO of Broward Schools Credit Union, Lauderhill, Fla., since 1996. Prior to that he was Chief Operating Officer with Washington, D.C.-based CU consulting firm Callahan & Associates, and before that Chief Operating Officer for credit union data processor XP Systems. According to Credit Union 24, Ray provided invaluable insight and leadership during his tenure on the Credit Union 24 Board.
