MOUNDS VIEW, Minn. – Liberty has developed an online communication "marketing engine" that lets credit unions drive specific marketing messages to members using Liberty's Internet check and accessory reordering system, MemberWeb. Credit unions' marketing messages can be displayed as banner ads at the top of the MemberWeb application, making the automated check ordering process a member-focused marketing opportunity. Credit unions select banner ads from a library of pre-designed ads that promote various services. A credit union would establish a start and end date for each ad, and link from the banner ad to specific pages in their Web site. Lastly the credit union would develop rules that govern how their banner ads work, content and other administrative tasks. Liberty Director of Marketing Brian Burke said the new tool is a way credit unions can add relationship value to their online check reordering application. It's also an opportunity for them to enhance their brand and image, cross-sell other products and services and promote their Web site and drive their members to it.
