Lenore Froehlich knows that, and that's why Motorola Employees Credit Union-West is using its intranet to deliver training via computer to staffers at its 18 branches in Arizona and Texas. The Phoenix-based CU, with about 210 employees, already has been doing in-house training work online, and now is expanding that to include a variety of training materials from CUES Online, says Froehlich, vice president of marketing and training for the $550 million MECU-West. "We're going to be doing a little bit of everything, including compliance training, accounting and finance, financial products, lending . we'll have a lot of ways to customize this, too," she says. "Of course, I'm very much a people person and I always love the human element, but in many ways, in specific cases, online training serves the purpose," she says. "I just can't ever see myself completely going that way."</p>
