Razi Qadri will become the next president/CEO for the $1.6 billion, Kingston, N.Y.-based Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (MHV), according to an announcement Monday from the executive search and leadership development firm DDJ Myers, which placed Qadri.
Qadri brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the credit union and financial services industry, having most recently served as EVP, COO and chief information officer for Lake Trust Credit Union ($2.7 billion, Brighton, Mich.). He’s also held various leadership roles at Lake Michigan Credit Union ($15.2 billion, Caledonia, Mich.), Flagstar Bank and Daimler Chrysler Corporation.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Razi to MHV, from the start he impressed us with his energy and ideas for growing the credit union while staying true to our roots and core values,” MHV Board Chairman Gary Anderson said. “With his extensive background in financial services, strong connection to the credit union mission, and genuine passion for community, we are confident that Razi’s thoughtful leadership will guide MHV into an even brighter future.”
Qadri succeeds Wayne Winkler, who served the credit union for 31 years and expanded its community charter to serve more individuals and families across the Hudson Valley during his 12-year tenure as CEO.
“We would like to thank Wayne. His impact has been significant, and we are truly grateful for his many contributions. We wish him the best in retirement,” Anderson said.
Qadri earned an MBA in finance from University of Atlanta, a master of science in computer engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich., and a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from N.E.D. University of Engineering & Technology in Pakistan.
Outside of work, Qadri enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, exploring nature, playing cricket and soccer, and trying new cuisines, DDJ Myers noted, adding that he also has a passion for mentoring and developing others both personally and professionally.
“I am truly excited to join MHV and build upon its strong foundation of member service, community impact and innovation,” Qadri said. “I see tremendous potential to accelerate growth, enhance digital and member experiences, and further strengthen the culture of collaboration and purpose. This role aligns perfectly with my passion for empowering teams and driving meaningful transformation.”
