The New York City-based Inclusiv has set a date for its Virtual 2020 Conference, which replaces the in-person conference it originally planned to host in San Juan, Puerto Rico in May 2020.

Registration is now open for the free virtual event, which will be held Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Time, the community development credit union partner organization announced Tuesday.

In a statement, Inclusiv, formerly known as the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions, said speakers will address "tough social, racial and economic justice issues that are part of the DNA of the community development, CDFI and minority-designated credit union movement" during the virtual event. Sessions and speakers will be announced as the schedule is finalized.

Inclusiv announced plans to move its annual conference to a virtual format in June due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Those who were registered for the in-person event in San Juan should expect an automatic refund of their registration payment, according to Inclusiv. Questions about refunds should be directed to [email protected] and questions about registration for the virtual event to [email protected].
