A former credit union employee will be arraigned in January at a Pennsylvania federal court for allegedly stealing more than $19,000 from the $4.4 billion Members 1st Federal Credit Union in Mechanicsburg, Penn., where she worked as a teller.
Brooke Shaeffer, 24, of Harrisburg, Penn., is expected to be charged with one felony count of credit union theft in U.S. District Court in Harrisburg, according to court documents.
Although the former credit union employee has already signed a plea deal with prosecutors, the court document does not specify how she stole the funds or how the theft was detected.
Shaeffer is expected to enter a plea during the January court hearing.
