While attempting to rob a credit union branch in Oregon, Cody James Rose asked an employee to call police to arrest him, according to local police.
On Wednesday at about 10:35 a.m., Roseburg police officers were dispatched to the reported robbery at the West Harvard Avenue branch of the $236 million Cascade Community Federal Credit Union, which is also based in Roseburg.

According to police, a credit union employee told the dispatcher that Rose allegedly gave a teller a note indicating he needed money. After he demanded the credit union employee "to open the till and give him money," Rose also asked the employee to call the police so that he could be arrested.
After police arrived at the branch, the 36-year-old Rose was taken into custody without incident.
Police do not say whether he used a weapon or pretended to use a weapon during the attempted robbery or whether the teller handed over any money to Rose.
No injuries were reported.
Rose, who is being held at the Douglas County Jail, is facing a felony charge of second-degree robbery. His bond was set at $250,000.
