Cheryl Shields Davis, who worked at the Smart Financial Credit Union in Houston for 47 years, has passed away, the Cornerstone Credit Union League in Plano, Texas said Monday.
Davis died of a decades-long battle with heart disease, according to her obituary.

Davis is survived by her husband, Fred, of 51 years, a daughter, son, stepdaughter and six grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be held Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in League City at 12:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Davis' memory to DeBakery Heart & Vascular Center, 6565 Fannin Street, Houston, Texas 77030.
