Michael B. Magnavita named new CEO of Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union.
Michael B. Magnavita was named president/CEO Wednesday of the $1 billion Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, Pennsylvania's 10th largest credit union by assets.
He succeeds John D. Unangst who passed away in January.

Magnavita previously served as executive vice president and chief financial officer at the Chadds Ford-based credit union. He started his FMFCU career in 1987 as an assistant vice president and controller.
"His major contributions to the credit union over three decades and exemplary leadership make him an outstanding choice," said J. Patrick Killian, FMFCU board chair.
Magnavita also serves on the board of directors of the Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute and White Horse Village and finance committee on the Delaware County Literacy Council.
His past board affiliations include serving as treasurer of the Credit Union Executive Society, Delaware Valley Chapter.
Magnavita, a certified public accountant, is a graduate of La Salle University and resident of West Chester, Pa.
