Veteran new media expert and journalist Michael Ogden has been hired as CU Times' executive editor. He starts his new role Aug. 15.
"Sometimes we get really lucky and find a space to work in that you love – and, for me, that's the credit union industry," Ogden said.
His most recent experience has been in social media strategy with his company, For3, LLC. Prior to that, he served as digital media manager for CUNA Mutual Group. He also has more than a decade of radio and broadcast journalism.

"Michael's experience in new media, as well as his background in hard-hitting state and local government and politics, made him an ideal candidate to be CU Times' next executive editor," Sarah Snell Cooke, ALM market segment strategy leader for credit unions and commercial real estate, said. "I've been with Credit Union Times for 16 years. It's my baby, and I'm glad to be leaving it in such capable hands for the future."
Ogden added, "I'm excited and thrilled to be part of Credit Union Times to do my part to help guide an incredible staff and publication uphold a strong traditional and digital journalistic legacy for the credit union readership."
