In our quest to help credit union professionals and volunteers do their jobs better for their credit unions, CU Times has lined up numerous experts for its first fraud conference. The event will take place Oct. 11-12, 2016, at the Sheraton Dallas.
Dubbed, Fraud: Don't Let it Happen to Your Credit Union, the event features an opening session with Jim Stickley of Stickley on Security demonstrating exactly how fraudsters do their dirty work. Then, House Financial Services Committee Member Randy Neugebauer, who also chairs the Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit, will discuss the congressional appetite for legislation to protect credit unions and their members from fraud and cyber-criminals. John Best of Best Innovations Group will give the closing keynote on how fraud can impact strategic decision making at credit unions, and what you can do about it.
Educational sessions featuring credit union executives who are in the trenches, facing your same issues, will provide an overview of everything you need to know from preparation to immediate response to eventual recovery from a fraud event.
