The NCUA is giving stakeholders an additional two weeks to comment on possible changes to the call report process.
The deadline for comments is now Aug. 15. The original deadline was Aug. 1.
Possible changes to the call reports include optional sections for small credit unions. House Republicans are pushing legislation that would require financial institution regulators to take into account the size of a bank or credit union when writing rules.

A Federal Register notice posted on Tuesday said the NCUA wanted to ensure that commenters had enough time to respond to the request for comments.
NCUA Public Affairs Specialist John Fairbanks said it had taken longer than usual for the original request for comments to appear. The request appeared on June 7.
Fairbanks said that the NCUA has received a handful of comments, although none had been posted on the agency's website by Tuesday morning.
The NCUA also is seeking comment on which sections of the call report and credit union profile are particularly challenging, what could be added to the report, which sections don't align with an institution's internal accounting and whether the call report should be reorganized.
