For the seventh consecutive year, “Nothing but Net” took on newmeaning for the University of Pittsburgh Men’s basketball team andClearview Federal Credit Union.

As part of the Points for Pediatrics program with theUniversity, Clearview FCU pledged to donate $40 for each 3-pointbasket made by the team during the regular 2015-2016 season to theJDRF of Western Pennsylvania.

JDRF is the only global organization with a strategic plan toend Type 1 Diabetes through its mission to accelerate life-changingbreakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat Type 1 Diabetes and itscomplications.

“We’re always proud to partner with Pitt Athletics tosupport great local charities like JDRF,” Mark Brennan,president/CEO of the $1 billion credit union said. “Our creditunion family has been touched by the cause of JDRF, and we are verygrateful for the chance to support them.”

With the team making a total of 188 3-point baskets, ClearviewFCU recently presented a $7,520 check to Carol M. Yannuzzi,executive director for JDRF of Western Pa.

“I thank Clearview for their continuing support of ourorganization through the Points for Pediatrics program and beyond.I’d also like to thank the University of Pittsburgh athletes, whoseskills on the court resulted in Clearview’s generous donation,”Yannuzzi said. “These funds will support the accelerated pace ofJDRF funded research and will make a real difference in the livesof all those touched by type 1 diabetes.
