The Pennsylvania Credit Union Association said Monday it signed an agreement with PSCU, a St. Petersburg, Fla.-based CUSO, to provide credit and debit card services for the trade association's service corporation, PACUL Services Inc.

PACUL represents 186 credit unions across the Keystone state with more than 260,000 credit and debit accounts.

The Pennsylvania association said it conducted a lengthy and comprehensive due diligence process of its credit unions' current and future card processing needs before deciding to partner with PSCU.

“PSCU and PCUA share a common set of values and vision,” Patrick Conway, president/CEO of the Pennsylvania association, said in a prepared statement. “We're excited about the opportunities this relationship opens up for our credit unions regarding the future growth potential for their card programs and the new products and services they will be able to offer their members.”

PSCU said it anticipates the transitioning process of the credit unions' credit and debit relationships will begin as early as in the fourth quarter 2016.

The CUSO is owned by 800 member credit unions representing more than 18.2 million credit, debit, prepaid, online bill payment and mobile accounts.
