It wasn't the budget hearing industry stakeholders asked for,but NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz announced Friday she will host anopen forum Oct. 30 to discuss that and other issues.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Eastern Time atthe NCUA's headquarters in Alexandria, Va.

“Since the beginning of my term, I have held 18 ListeningSessions and 12 webinars where NCUA leadership heard from creditunion officials, volunteers and other interested stakeholders,”Matz said. “I welcome further interactive conversations on topicswhich could include NCUA regulations, examinations, budgets and anyother issues participants would like to raise. Previous sessionshave generated ideas, which led to regulatory relief for creditunions and streamlined processes throughout the agency. I amlooking forward to another productive face-to-face meeting withcredit union stakeholders.”
