The $342 million Visterra Credit Union in Moreno Valley, Calif. officially merged Monday with the $799 million Altura Credit Union in Riverside, Calif., creating the 37th billion dollar cooperative in the Golden State.

Altura Credit Union now manages assets of approximately $1.15 billion and is the largest credit union headquartered in California's Inland Empire. 

What's more, Altura CU posts a combined net worth of approximately $122 million, 371 employees, 118,000 members, and 14 branches throughout Riverside County. The credit union will continue to operate from Altura CU's headquarters.
