The $600 million Consumers Credit Union in Kalamazoo, Mich. hired Betsy Loeks as a marketing project coordinator and Kris McWilliams as a mortgage loan officer. Loeks previously worked for Kinexus, a regional economic development organization. McWilliams previously served as a loan officer for Lake Pacor Home Mortgage.

The $3.7 billion Lake Michigan Credit Union promoted Glen Goen to vice president, creative director and Matt Cook to assistant vice president, community relations. At the Grand Rapid, Mich.-based credit union, Goen previously worked as a marketing manager, marketing director and creative director. Cook previously served as an assistant branch manager at Lake Michigan CU. The cooperative also announced that it hired Lauren Zielinski as an assistant media buyer. She most recently served as a marketing manager for IT consultancy Coretek Services.

SOUTH

The $247 million Houston Texas Fire Fighters Federal Credit Union board of directors announced Clint Hartmann will retire in March 2016 as president/CEO after 12 years of service. He joined the cooperative in 2004. Under Hartmann's leadership, Houston Texas Fire Fighters FCU grew its assets from $165 million in 2004 to $247 million in 2015. He also advanced the credit union's technology-based capabilities and product offerings.

The $212 million Argent Credit Union in Chester, Va., announced Gary D. Miller was elected chair of its board of directors, which was previously held by Betty Moore Beverly since 2010. Beverly, a 15-year volunteer, continues to serve on the board. An Argent volunteer since 2012, Miller previously served as an associate director, board director and board secretary.

WEST

The $9.1 billion Golden 1 Credit Union in Sacramento, Calif. hired Dustin Luton as senior vice president, chief financial officer and Vicki Brackett as vice president, member service contact center. Luton most recently served as president/CEO of Simplicity Bank, which was recently acquired by HomeStreet Bank. Brackett served as a director for a contact center at a Fortune 500 corporation.

The $1.5 billion Elevations Credit Union in Boulder, Colo. promoted Kim Felton to senior vice president of retail banking and Gary Kindle to senior vice president of operations.

Courtnay Lynch, vice president of human resources for the $933 million Xceed Financial Credit Union in El Segundo, Calif. was honored last month with the HR Professional of the Year Award by the HRD Network, an organization of credit union human resources and training professionals in California and other western states. She received the award for her exceptional performance and effectiveness as an HR professional, as well as her commitment and dedication to the highest moral and ethical standards.

The $3.7 billion Kinecta Federal Credit Union promoted Bob Lane to first vice president, general counsel for the Manhattan Beach, Calif.-based cooperative.

Melanie Walsh was promoted to senior vice president of human resources at the $13.6 billion BECU in Tukwila, Wash. She joined BECU 26 years ago leading several areas of the credit union. Previously, Walsh was the vice president of BECU's servicing, retail and contact centers. She also served as vice president of member care and director of member service support.

TRADES

The Montana Credit Union League honored Tom Boos, president/CEO of the $120 million Billings Federal Credit Union, as the 2015 professional of the year. In addition to working at the credit union for more than 30 years, he served as a board member for the league's board, CUsource and other community organizations. In addition, the Montana league named Mitch Martin as the 2015 Mitch Reed Volunteer of the Year, who served as a volunteer for four decades.
