The five-day camp requires riders to attend only one 75-minute session per day. The camp is held at Spectrum Sports Academy in Roanoke, Va during the week of June 22-26.

Ginny Riddle and her husband Lea, organizers of the iCan Shine Bike camp, broght the program to Roanoke three years ago. The move was sparked by the desire to have their son, who has autism, learn to ride a bike.  When the couple found out the closest program was in Richmond, they decided fulfill that community need for a local program.

To be eligible to enroll, riders must be at least eight years old, have a disability and be able to walk withour an assitive device such as a walker or cane. riders must also be able to side step qucikly to both sides.

Over 80% of campers learn to ride a conventional bicycle independently by the end of the week.
