The $227 million Members Plus Credit Union announced John J. Murphy was hired as its executive vice president. Prior to serving at the Medford, Mass.-based cooperative, he served as president of the $58 million Seaport Credit Union in Salem, Mass., senior vice president of the Reading Cooperative Bank, president/CEO of the $45 million Everett Credit Union, and first vice president and director of operations of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston.
The $328 million South Jersey Federal Credit Union in Deptford, N.J. named Deborah Eurillo as director of human resources. She previously served as director of training at the credit union since 2007. Eurillo is certified as a professional in human resources from the HR Certification Institute and is a Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional.

Tammy Darvish, executive vice president of business development, marketing and government and community affairs at the $17.7 billion Pentagon Federal Credit Union in Alexandria, Va., received the 2015 William Donald Schaefer Helping People Award last month. The award honors the legacy of public service exemplified by Schaefer, former governor of Maryland. Darvish is a widely recognized leader in the Washington business community, having served as chair of the Washington Area New Auto Dealers Association and on the executive committee of the Greater Washington Board of Trade.
Kristy Methot, assistant vice president of financial services at the $211 million Holy Rosary Credit Union in Rochester, N.H. was recognized as a Credit Union Rising Star by the Cooperative Credit Union Association and CenterPoint Magazine. The Credit Union Rising Star awards annually recognize New England credit union employees under the age of 50 that are making a notable impact in both their institution and the industry. Methot started her career at HRCU in 2002 as a part-time teller and over the years has served as a senior teller, assistant head teller, senior financial services associate, branch manager, and sales and service manager. She was appointed to her current position in 2012.
MIDWEST
The $1.5 billion Dow Chemical Employees Credit Union promoted Art Peters from vice president of IT to chief operations officer. Before joining the Midland, Mich.-based credit union in 2011, he served as vice president of IT at ACT. In 2010, he was named CIO of the Year by the Technology Association of Iowa.
Donna S. Reid joined the $890 million Credit Union ONE in Ferndale, Mich. as its senior vice president and chief marketing officer. Previously, she served as vice president of marketing and communications strategy at Health Alliance Plan of Michigan, and area marketing manager at Sprint Nextel Corporation. She also worked for nearly ten years at ABN AMRO Mortgage Group Inc.
The $475 million Notre Dame Federal Credit Union in Notre Dame, Ind., appointed Andrea Knuth as its human resources director. She holds 11 years of experience in human resources as well as training and development.
Jeff Fielder, executive vice president of finance for the $1.1 billion Advia Credit Union in Parchment, Mich., was named as one of Michigan's Most Valuable Professionals and Millennials by Corp! Magazine, a business-to-business publication. Fielder joined the credit union in 2007 as an internal auditor. He was promoted to his current position last year. He was credited with providing leadership and commitment in helping the credit union navigate through four mergers from 2010 to 2014.
SOUTH
The $171 million JetStream Federal Credit Union in Miami Lakes, Fla., hired Millie Coipel as a business loan consultant. With 20 years of experience in loan origination and finance in residential and commercial business loans, Coipel previously served as a senior loan officer for Interamerican Bank and as an asset manager for Bayview Financial.
WEST
Scott Stohr joined the $1 billion Columbia Community Credit Union in Vancouver, Wash. as vice president of business lending. He brings 35 years of commercial lending experience to the cooperative and most recently served as a vice president/commercial real estate loan officer for a bank where he originated loans and managed portfolios.
Mellie Price, brand manager for the $378 million Global Credit Union in Spokane, Wash., won the advertising professional of the year award from the American Advertising Federation in Spokane. The award recognizes ad professionals for their contributions to the advertising industry and their position in the local business community. Price is the youngest person to receive the award. She was instrumental in the 2013 rebranding of Global Credit Union and previously freelanced at Spokane advertising agencies.
