CUCollaborate, a startup firm based in Washington, has launched an effort on kickstarter.com to raise funds for a software platform called Credit Union Match.

"Credit Union Match is a search engine that provides more of a targeted approach than other sites that help consumers find credit unions," explained Sam Brownell, the founder of CUCollaborate who sat down with CU Times during CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington.

Unlike other search engines that show credit unions or credit union branches in proximity to the user's location, Credit Union Match will ask consumers to fill out a brief survey and, based on that information, search its database for qualifying credit unions.
