A credit union foundation honored a recently retired boardmember with a small credit union assistance fund. Meanwhile, creditunions across the country continue to staff up.

The $1 billion Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union hiredBarry Cohen as its vice president of operationsand Rose Ruggiero as assistant vice president ofcollections. Cohen holds 16 years of experience in the financialservices industry as well as extensive experience in operationsmanagement. Ruggiero has 26 years of experience in thefinancial services industry. The Lowell, Mass.-based credit unionalso promoted Donna Richardson to assistanttreasurer and employee development manager and JasonDubois to assistant treasurer and mortgage loanorigination manager. Richardson joined the credit union nine yearsago and Dubois was hired last year.

Kam Wong, president/CEO of the $2 billionMunicipal Credit Union in New York City wasappointed to the Baruch College Zicklin School of Business AdvisoryCouncil. The council advises the Zicklin School's dean,administration and faculty on strategic plans, programming andresearch initiatives, as well as helps cultivate financialresources to ensure the school's continued growth. Wong'sappointment to the council is the continuation of a long-termpartnership between MCU and Baruch College. Recently, MCU dedicateda classroom on Baruch's main campus, and Wong participated in theschool's international outreach programs in Hong Kong.

The $388 million People's Credit Union inMiddletown, R.I. appointed Stephen Elias as itsindirect lending manager. With more than 20 years of financialservices experience, Elias previously served as assistant regionalcredit manager for Citizens Automobile Finance.

Robert Potvin joined the $838 million St.Anne's Credit Union in Fall River, Mass., as its vice president ofIT. With more than 16 years of IT experience, he recently served asassistant vice president and network manager at Bank Five.

MIDWEST

|

Carly McNeilus was nameddirector of ecommerce sales and marketing of the $1.8 billionUnited Federal Credit Union in St. Joseph,Mich. She served previously as ecommerce technology manager inUnited FCU's IT Department. McNeilus' previous experienceincludes working in marketing and consumer relations.

Sam Burns was named vice president of memberservices for the $848 million Purdue Federal CreditUnion in West LaFayette, Ind. With 13 years of commercialbanking experience, he served as account vice president for nearlya year at the cooperative.

The $467 million Heritage Federal Credit Unionin Newburgh, Ind., promoted Jarrett Crowe as itsenterprise solutions manager. With more than 10 years of IT andproject management experience, he recently served as a help desktechnician at the credit union.

SOUTH

|

Cheryl Hendricksen was promoted to director oflending for the $3.2 billion Space Coast CreditUnion. She joined the Melbourne, Fla.-basedcooperative in 2009 and served as a senior mortgage underwriter,loss mitigation manager and underwriting manager.

The $8.3 billion Security Service Federal CreditUnion in San Antonio promoted BarbaraTaylor to senior vice president of payment services. Shewill be responsible for the operational and strategic direction ofthe credit union's payment channels.

Tiffany Cameron was named employee of the yearat the $87 million GKCU in Georgetown, S.C. Shejoined the credit union eight years ago and serves as a loanofficer. As one of the cooperative's top loan producers, Cameronwas cited as a vital team member who works hard to serve membersand assists coworkers with a variety of duties often without beingasked.

|

The $729 million One Nevada Credit Union in LasVegas promoted Paul Parrish to executive vicepresident and chief operating officer and SteveO'Donnell to senior vice president and chief financialofficer. Parrish joined One Nevada Credit Union in 1981 and workedas a controller, senior vice president of finance and most recentlyas chief financial officer. O'Donnell joined the credit union in1997 as a general accountant. During his career at the cooperative,he served as associate vice president and vice president in thefinancial and accounting areas.

Tammy Matthies was promoted to director ofinternal audit at the $4 billion Ent Federal CreditUnion in Colorado Springs, Colo. With more than 23 yearsof financial services experience, she has been a member of theaudit and risk management departments at the cooperative since2008.

Jessie Crenshaw was named director of lendingat the $177 million Altier Credit Union in Tempe,Ariz. With nearly 40 years of experience in the financial servicesindustry, Crenshaw previously served as vice president of lendingfor the $98 million Heritage Grove Credit Union in Salem, Ore.

The $932 million Xceed Financial Credit Unionin El Segundo, Calif., announced Steven Barrettand David Limerick joined its investment servicesgroup. Barrett previously worked for an insurance company where hewas a partner. Limerick owned and operated a financial services andinsurance firm.

The New Jersey Credit Union Foundation recentlycreated the Ann South Small Credit Union Assistance Fund in honorof the service of longtime board chair and member AnnSouth. She served on the board for more than 10 years andas chair for much of that time. Each year, the NJCUF willearmark $5,000 toward the Ann South Small Credit Union AssistanceFund, which will be used to aid small asset sized credit unionsenhance their business. South, who recently vacated the board,initiated programs and grant opportunities for small cooperativesincluding the remote deposit capture grant program and the recentXP Sunset grant program.
