John Sheehy was among the very best credit union advocates I ever encountered. He was smart, savvy, and genuine. And he loved credit unions and what they did for people.

When I first came to credit unions from Capitol Hill in the late '80′s, he was one of the first league lobbyists I met; knowing John made me understand that I would be at home in the credit union movement.

He will be missed, but not really, since so much of the success we enjoy should remind us of John Sheehy on a daily basis.
