After serving 14 years as president/CEO of the $154 millionAdvance Financial Credit Union, John Wohadlo retired Dec. 31,according to a prepared statement.

He was succeeded by Jerry Gomez who was appointed president/CEOof the Schererville, Ind.-based credit union effective Jan. 1. Hejoined Advance Financial CU 11 years ago and recently worked as itsEVP.

During Wohadlo's tenure, he led the cooperative's rebrandinginitiative from the Inland Employees Federal Credit Union toAdvance Financial Federal Credit Union.

Though he facilitated the cooperative's growth in loans andchecking account products, Wohadlo said he attributed the creditunion's success to its dedicated employees and a strong base ofloyal members.

Advance Financial serves nearly 18,000 members and operatesthree branches.

“Under Jerry's capable leadership, we can all continue toanticipate a strong and stable future for our members,” Wohadlosaid in a prepared statement.
