EAST

The $1 billion APG Federal Credit Union in in Edgewood, Md., hired Melinda Maluga as vice president of human resources and Nancy Rosso as marketing communications director. Maluga brings more than 15 years of human resource management and most recently served as administrative vice president of human resources for the commercial business lines at M&T Bank. Rosso also has more than 15 years of marketing communications and brand management and previously worked as the senior creative media manager at the $1.1 billion MECU in Baltimore.

Chaz Rzewnicki was appointed vice president of member services at the $405 million Dover Federal Credit Union in Dover, Del. He served as the director of operations of the $171 million PARDA Federal Credit Union in Auburn Hills, Mich. and worked as an assistant branch manager and member services representative for Research Federal Credit Union, now the $526 million Community Choice Credit Union in Farmington Hill, Mich.

MIDWEST

Anthony Bumgarner, financial adviser for the $970 million US Federal Credit Union in Burnsville, Minn., was appointed vice president of wealth management by CUNA Brokerage Services. This appointment was earned through Bumgarner's many years of service at CUNA with a clean compliance record while attaining production and service goals. He has been working in the financial services industry since 2000.

The $3.4 billion Lake Michigan Credit Union in Grand Rapids, Mich., hired Amanda Hesselsweet as a personal lines insurance sales representative for its Lake Michigan Insurance Agency division. With more than 15 years of insurance experience, Hesselsweet has worked in sales, customer service and management.

The $77 million Heartland Federal Credit Union in Dayton, Ohio, hired Ryan J. Roth as a branch manager. With more than 22 years in the financial services industry, he previously worked for PNC Bank.

Ashleigh Miller and Leah LaFave were promoted to branch manager positions at the $2.7 billion Michigan State University Federal Credit Union in East Lansing, Mich. Miller started working at MSUFCU in May 2007 and was previously a call center manager. LaFave began at the cooperative last April and previously worked as a store director at JCrew.

SOUTH

The $3.2 billion Space Coast Credit Union in Melbourne, Fla., announced the promotion of Alan Lewis to the position of SVP of information systems. He joined SCCU in November of 2012 as the vice president of information services, bringing more than 20 years of management experience in the financial services industry.

Alicia Westfall and Jessica Cecil joined the $606 million 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union in Yorktown, Va., as first mortgage loan originators.

Julie Yoder was appointed senior mortgage loan advisor at the $132 million Park View Federal Credit Union. Employed by the Harrisonburg, Va.-based cooperative since 2004, Yoder has 12 years of mortgage experience.

WEST

The $8.5 billion Golden 1 Credit Union in Sacramento appointed Walter Anasovitch as its new vice president of member care. He held executive positions with JP Morgan Chase and Barclays in mortgage servicing, lending, and credit policy.

Lowell Bender was named mortgage manager for the $154 million Aventa Credit Union in Colorado Springs, Colo. He holds more than 18 years of mortgage lending experience working previously as regional operations manager at Bayrock Mortgage Group and as vice president at American United Mortgage Group, both based in Georgia.

TRADES

Paul Marotta, board chair of the $1 billion Hanscom Federal Credit Union in Sudbury, Mass., was honored with the National Association of Credit Union Chairmen 2014 Gene Ball Award, which recognizes an outstanding leader in the credit union movement.

Alex Catley, engagement and communications manager for the $1.2 billion Integis Credit Union in Prince George, British Columbia, was named the 2014 CUES Next Top Credit Union Executive. The other four finalists were Alvaro Macias of the $3335 million Ascentra Credit Union in Bettendorf, Iowa; Brianne Meszaros of the $1.4 billion Royal Credit Union in Eau Claire, Wis.; Jennifer Mravich of the $82 million Power Credit Union in Pueblo, Colo.; and Noel Sanger of the $1.7 billion United Federal Credit Union in St. Joseph, Mich.
