The $837 million St. Anne's Credit Union of Fall River, Mass., announced the promotion of Fatima Mello-Gouveia to branch manager. She joined the credit union in 2008 and most recently held the position of assistant branch manager.
The $392 million People's Credit Union said it appointed Diane Crosby as its mortgage loan officer. She brings nearly 20 years of mortgage servicing experience to the cooperative in Middletown, R.I.
Careyanne Womack was hired as an assistant branch manager at the $176 million First Financial Federal Credit Union in Wall, N.J. With more than 10 years of experience, she previously worked JPMorgan Chase, Freehold Savings Bank, SUN National Bank and Hudson City Savings.
The $825 million Charter Oak Federal Credit Union in Waterford, Conn., said Eunice Lima-Brooks was recognized by local business groups as one of this year's 40 Under 40 award recipients for her demonstrated excellence in their profession, as well as leadership, commitment, and service to the region. She began her career at Charter Oak in 2004 and serves as its Visa processor.
MIDWEST
The $97 million Heartland Credit Union announced the promotion of Tim Hansen to SVP/CFO. He served as vice president of finance at the Inver Grove Heights, Minn.-based cooperative over the past four years.
SOUTH
Tony C. Budet, president/CEO of the $1.7 billion University Federal Credit Union was recognized as the 2014 CUES Outstanding Chief Executive at the CUES CEO/Executive Team Network conference Nov. 2 at Amelia Island, Fla. Under Budet's leadership, the Austin, Texas, based credit union established numerous educational resources for its members, employees and volunteers that included online resources, seminars and in-person workshops.
Jonathan Tieszen was appointed as a business loan adviser for the $132 million Park View Federal Credit Union in Harrsonburg, Va. With 16 years of experience at the cooperative, he most recently worked in mortgage lending.
WEST
Erynne Hallock was promoted to vice president of branch administration and sales and Jennifer O'Callaghan was hired as vice president of marketing at the $1.3 billion Numerica Credit Union in Spokane Valley, Wash. With 10 years of experience in the financial industry, Hallock most recently served as assistant vice president of branch administration at Numerica. O'Callaghan holds 18 years of experience in marketing with an emphasis on retail, direct response, and website, digital and traditional advertising campaigns.
The $4 billion Ent Federal Credit Union in Colorado Springs, Colo., promoted Mike Steppenbacker to director of corporate banking. He previously served as corporate lending officer at Ent since 2010 and holds more than 13 years of financial services in including commercial lending as well as regulatory experience as a bank examiner.
Bob Schumacher, retired president/CEO of the $85 million MountainCrest Credit Union in Arlington, Wash., was named the recipient of the 2015 Herb Wegner Memorial Award for Lifetime Achievement from the National Credit Union Foundation. Schumacher will be presented with the award in March for his extensive work across the credit union movement, including leadership programs in the U.S. and overseas, as well as his support for NCUF initiatives such as the Community Investment Fund, BizKid$ and the Credit Union Development Education Program.
Barbara B. Kamm, president/CEO of the $1.8 billion Technology Credit Union in San Jose, Calif., was named to the board of directors for the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce. With nearly 1,500 members, the chamber is the leading business organization in the Santa Clara Valley.
TRADES
The Metropolitan Area Credit Union Management Association of Greater Wash., D.C. announced the recipient of its 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award, Miriam (Mimi) Lieb, former president/CEO of the $195 million Transportation Federal Credit Union in Wash., D.C. She was recognized as a champion for the credit union movement, as a supporter of the D.C. metropolitan credit union community, and as an advocate for women in leadership roles.
Darlene Banogon, an executive assistant at the $1.1 billion North Island Credit Union in San Diego, was elected president of the Executive Women International's Corporate Board for 2014-15. Banogon, who serves as an executive assistant to North Island Credit Union President/CEO Stephen O'Connell, has been a member of EWI since 1997.
