In advance of National Philanthropy Day, Nov. 15, the National Credit Union Foundation is holding a Twitter chat Nov. 13 to discuss credit unions' volunteer efforts around financial education.
“Charitable giving and volunteering are central to philanthropy and credit unions excel at both to improve their member's financial lives,” Christopher Morris, director of communications for NCUF, said. “Financial education has long been a part of the Foundation's mission and is central to the credit union philosophy.”
“As you can imagine then, we are very excited to highlight National Philanthropy Day by hosting this discussion on how credit unions make a difference volunteering to provide financial education in communities across the country,” he added.
The Twitter chat is a live streaming conversation, free and open to anyone with a Twitter account, according to the NCUF.
The hashtag will be #NCUFchat. Twitter users can either type #NCUFchat into the Twitter search box or utilize other tools such as Tweet Chat or Twubs to follow the conversation.
The @NCUFoundation account will also be leading the Twitter chat discussion.
Questions will be tweeted using a Q1, Q2. format, which can be replied to with a corresponding A1, A2, format.
All questions and answers should contain the #NCUFchat hashtag.
