In advance of National Philanthropy Day, Nov. 15, the NationalCredit Union Foundation is holding a Twitter chat Nov. 13 todiscuss credit unions' volunteer efforts around financial education.

“Charitable giving and volunteering are central to philanthropyand credit unions excel at both to improve their member's financiallives,” Christopher Morris, director of communications for NCUF,said. “Financial education has long been a part of the Foundation'smission and is central to the credit union philosophy.”

“As you can imagine then, we are very excited to highlightNational Philanthropy Day by hosting this discussion on how creditunions make a difference volunteering to provide financialeducation in communities across the country,” he added.

The Twitter chat is a live streaming conversation, free and opento anyone with a Twitter account, according to the NCUF.

The hashtag will be #NCUFchat. Twitter users can either type#NCUFchat into the Twitter search box or utilize other tools suchas Tweet Chat or Twubs to follow the conversation.

The @NCUFoundation account will also be leading the Twitter chatdiscussion.

Questions will be tweeted using a Q1, Q2. format, which can bereplied to with a corresponding A1, A2, format.

All questions and answers should contain the #NCUFchathashtag.
