EAST
Stephanie Smith was named the executive director for America's Credit Union Museum in Manchester, N.H., the organization's board of directors announced. She replaced Peggy Powell who retired after 15 years of service. Smith most recently served as director of alumni & development events at St. Paul's School, an international preparatory school in Concord, N.H.
MIDWEST
Maria P. Turowski was promoted to e-services manager at the $2.6 billion Michigan State University Federal Credit Union in East Lansing, Mich. She began working at MSUFCU in August 2012 and previously served as an e-services specialist.
SOUTH
The $514 million Generations Federal Credit Union announced that Jack Curtis was hired was as it vice president of lending. Curtis brings more than 12 years of experience to the San Antonio-based cooperative.
WEST
Michelle Hatton was promoted to vice president of information technology at the $500 million Solarity Credit Union in Yakima, Wash., helping to oversee networks, core systems, servers and communication links. During her tenure at the cooperative, she held positions in the operations, lending and accounting departments and most recently was the lead core systems analyst in the IT department. Hatton has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.
The $2.3 billion Redwood Credit Union in Santa Rosa, Calif., named Jeff Hudson as vice president of retail lending. With more than 20 years of local financial services and lending experience, he served in management positions at Westamerica, Washington Mutual and JP Morgan Chase.
Henry Wirz, president/CEO of the $2.1 billion SAFE Credit Union in Fulsom, Calif., was named as the first recipient of the Maynard Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, which honors an individual who has volunteered at the leadership level for a minimum of 20 years. Nelson, 92, presented the inaugural award to Wirz. Known for his extensive volunteerism, Wirz received the award as a tribute to his commitment to and community involvement in the Sacramento community over the past three decades.
The $565 million Christian Community Credit Union in San Dimas, Calif., promoted Hope C. Smith to vice president of marketing and communications. She joined the cooperative in 1994 as a marketing specialist and served as the marketing department's manager, director, assistant vice president.

The Iowa Credit Union League announced its new board of directors. Dave Cale, president/CEO of the $162 million Financial Plus Credit Union in West Des Moines, was elected to serve as the 2014-15 board chair and Brent Helin, president/CEO of the $48 million Des Moines Metro Credit Union was elected to serve as the 2014 vice chair. Other board members are: Janine Keim, president/CEO of the $5.7 million Consumers Credit Union in, Denison; Jonathon Miller, president/CEO of the $20.3 million IntegrUS Credit Union in, Dubuque; Dennis Siemers, president/CEO of the $17 million Town and Country Credit Union in Harlan; Tim Chapman, president/CEO of the $51 million Members Community Credit Union in Muscatine; Jeff Hayes, president/CEO of the $78 million North Star Community Credit Union in Cherokee; Helen Pearce, president/CEO of the $94 million Cedar Falls Community Credit Union in Cedar Falls; Tim Marcsisak, president/CEO of the $28 million Nishna Valley Credit Union in Atlantic; Jim Hagerman, president/CEO of the $336 million Linn Area Credit Union in Cedar Rapids; Joe Hearn, president/CEO of the $1.2 billion Dupaco Community Credit Union in Dubuque, and Dale Owen, president/CEO of the $335 million Ascentra Credit Union, in Bettendorf.
Paul Marotta, chairman of the $1.1 billion Hanscom Federal Credit Union in Sudbury, Mass., was named the National Association of Credit Union Chairmen's 2014 Gene Ball Award winner. The Eugene Ball Award was created in 2002 to recognize an outstanding leader in the credit union movement. The award was named after the late Eugene Ball, credit union leader, past chairman of Pentagon Federal Credit Union and past chairman of NACUC. The association's board also elected officers for 2014-2015: Rose Rangel of Generations Federal Credit Union in San Antonio, as chairman; Marty Goldman of Marine Federal Credit Union in Jacksonville, N.C., as 1st vice chairman; Fred Heimann of Connex Credit Union in North Haven, Conn., as 2nd vice chairman; Joe Budnick of SharePoint Credit Union in Hopkins, Minn., as secretary and Daniel Strandy of Verity Credit Union in Seattle, as treasurer. Each of the officers are chairmen of their respective credit union's boards.

Scott Wagner is PSCU's new EVP of membership development. He previously worked as general manager of First Data's Group Service Providers and Community Financial Institution Business.
Sam Esfahani, chief information officer for PSCU, was named one of three finalists for the Tampa Bay Technology Forum's CIO of the Year award. The organization will announce the winner at its Achievement Awards Gala Nov. 21 in Tampa, Fla.
