The Maryland DC Credit Union Association appointed Bernard McLaughlin, president/CEO of Point Breeze Credit Union in Hunt Valley, Md., to the MDDCCUA's board of directors. He will serve as vice chair of the advocacy committee.
South
The $433 million ABNB Federal Credit Union in Chesapeake, Va., hired Michael Eskenazi as vice president of lending. He has more than 30 years of lending experience, most recently at a mid-size credit union in Central Florida.
The $1.7 billion Founders Federal Credit Union in Lancaster, S.C., realigned several departments to handle growth and new technology. Ken Ackerman has been named SVP of consumer lending. He most recently was regional vice president of branch operations. Resa Blackmon has been named SVP for mortgage and loan administration. She has served in various management positions at branches and in loan administration. Pam Gilmore was named SVP for e-commerce. She has served in various capacities in the Visa and EFT departments.
Midwest
The $370 million ProFed Federal Credit Union in Fort Wayne, Ind., promoted Steven Piekarski to vice president of lending services. He has nearly 30 years of business and consumer lending experience and had been vice president and manager of commercial lending and services.
The $581 million LAFCU in Lansing, Mich., hired Bill Clifton as senior programming analyst and Julie Roll as network administrator. Clifton has more than 25 years of information technology support experience, including at his own consultancy and before that for AFTECH. Roll most recently was network administrator at Eaton Federal Savings Bank. She also had worked for Michigan State University Federal Credit Union.
The $436 million Kellogg Community Federal Credit Union in Battle Creek, Mich., hired three new members to its KCFCU Investment Services Team: Jerry T. Pawlowicz, Christopher Merrill, and Calvin Ernsberger. Pawlowicz has eight years of financial advisory experience and will be a financial consultant. Merrill also will be a financial consultant. Ernsberger will be a sales assistant and has five years of credit union financial experience. KCFCU also promoted Amanda LeBeau to interim regional branch manager. She has 12 years of banking experience, including six in management positions at KCFCU.
The $76 million Hopewell Federal Credit Union in Heath and Newark, Ohio, hired three new tellers: Amelia Boehmer, Jessica Mackey and Courtney Miller. Boehmer also works for the Licking County Library and Maurice's. Mackey had been with Park National Bank. Miller worked for Kay's Jewelers.
West
The $2.3 billion Texas Dow Employees Credit Union in Lake Jackson, Texas, promoted Courtland Crouchet to SVP and chief retail officer. Crouchet had been chief risk officer and vice president of strategic planning. He was president/CEO of San Jacinto Area Credit Union when it merged into TDECU in 2011.

The Police Officers' Credit Union Association hired Rebecca O'Brien as its assistant conference coordinator. O'Brien was marketing and member development coordinator for the State Highway Patrol FCU in Columbus, Ohio. Planning is currently underway for the 12th annual POCUA conference set for May 3-6, 2015, in St. Louis.
