LAFCU said it has deployed three of the machines at its Mason,Mich., branch and is staffing the machine during regular businesshours through a teller at its main branch in Lansing. The55,700-member credit union said it plans to add five more video tellers next year across its 11-county territory.

“This technology allows LAFCU to offer enhanced services atexisting locations and to expand to new locations utilizingbest-in-class technology,” EVP Patrick Spyke said Thursday.“Because the machines perform routine check imaging andcash-counting functions, the video-access tellers can focus solelyon responding to member needs.”

LAFCU – which was Lansing Automakers Federal Credit Union until it obtained astate charter last year – said it worked with Informa BusinessSystems in Flushing, Mich., to deploy the machines fromAtlanta-based NCR.
