The $1 billion Hanscom Federal Credit Union, located on HanscomAir Force Base in Massachusetts, named Mike Rzeszutek as its newsales manager for the retail team. In this newly created leadershipposition, Rzeszutek is responsible for evaluating, designing anddeveloping sales and service training programs. His role is to helpstaff understand and convey the benefits of the Hanscom's productsand services.

Previously, Rzeszutek worked in mortgages at Aegis Lending andArgent Mortgage, and as a branch manager at Baxter Credit Union,where he more than doubled consumer loan sales while increasingmember growth by 20%.

Matthew Piazza, president/CEO of the $96 million AtlanticFinancial Federal Credit Union of Hunt Valley, Md., was named tothe Baltimore Business Journal's 40 Under 40 list. Earlier thisyear, Piazza, 30, was promoted from chief financial officer, whichhe told BBJ was his big break. Since AFFCU's existence, he is theyoungest CEO to hold the top spot.

The $1.4 billion Indiana Members Credit Union, located inIndianapolis, announced that Tara Turner joined the organization asa business development officer. In her new role, Turner will assistIMCU by overseeing and servicing new and existing memberrelationships on the east side and downtown Indianapolis, as wellas actively promote and involve IMCU with the local community.Turner, a graduate of Indiana University, brings eight years ofexperience in the financial industry to her position.

Joe Bigley has been promoted to the position of secondarymortgage market manager at the $1.6 billion United Federal CreditUnion in St. Joseph, Mich. Bigley will manage the interest raterisk and loan quality of UFCU's residential real estate portfolio.He was previously a secondary mortgage market specialist at UFCU,and had previously served in senior financial analyst andcommercial loan underwriter positions at the credit union. Bigleyearned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from CornerstoneUniversity in Grand Rapids, Mich., and a Master of BusinessAdministration degree in Finance from the Western MichiganUniversity Haworth College of Business in Kalamazoo, Mich.

The $76 million Hopewell Federal Credit Union of Heath, Ohio,welcomed Rusty Young as the new business development and branchmanager of its Newark location. Rusty spent the past 23 years withTelhio Credit Union, and during his lengthy tenure with theorganization, held a host of diverse positions including teller,loan officer, business development officer, corporate trainer andbranch manager.

The $2.5 billion MSU Federal Credit Union of East Lansing,Mich., announced the promotions of Justin Drwencke to assistantmanager at its Union branch and Jenny Smith to assistant manager atits East Lansing branch.

Drwencke has worked for MSUFCU since August 2012. Aftercompleting the credit union's Management Development program, hewas promoted to assistant manager of MSUFCU's downtown Lansingbranch before taking on his new role. Drwencke holds a bachelor ofarts degree in interdisciplinary humanities, with concentrations inmathematics, gender studies, and professional writing, fromMichigan State University. Smith has been with MSUFCU since July of2006, and was previously a mortgage loan officer before beingaccepted into MSUFCU's Management Development Program. Smith holdsa masters of arts in organizational leadership from Siena HeightsUniversity. She has also served on the board for the HaitianAssociation of Mid-Michigan, and is currently a member of the HomeBuilders Association of Greater Lansing and Women's Council ofRealtors.

The $2.4 billion Veridian Credit Union of Waterloo, Iowa,announced that Betsy Meehan was promoted to the position ofmarketing strategist. Meehan has been an administrative assistantat Veridian for nearly two years. She has a bachelor's degree incommunication studies from Luther College.

The $1.6 billion GTE Financial of Tampa, Fla., promoted CiscoMalpartida Smith to vice president of member strategies. After fouryears at Boeing Employees' Credit Union in Seattle, Smith joinedGTE Financial in 2011. During those two years, Smith successfullylaunched a number of student-focused initiatives. Smith is activein the Tampa Bay community, serving as a director on the board ofthe Hillsborough Community College Foundation, the University ofTampa's Board of Fellows, and Seattle University's Alumni Board ofGovernors. He has a B.A. in Political Science from SeattleUniversity.
