C. Skip Wilson has been selectedthe new regional president for HeritageWest Credit Union andSouthWest Community Credit Union, divisions of the $1.9 billionChartway Federal Credit Union in Virginia Beach, Va.

“Having spent a great deal of time speaking with Skip andlearning about his drive, his energy, and his passion for makingthe credit union difference, I am confident that he will be anoutstanding addition to our organization,” Ron Burniske, president/CEO of Chartway FCU said in a preparedstatement. “We know Skip will contribute significantly –professionally and culturally – to the ongoing success of ourorganization.”

Chartway consolidated two previously merged Utah-based creditunions effective Oct. 1. The two credit unions – HeritageWest and Utah Central – are both located in the greaterSalt Lake City area and were merged into Chartway in 2010 and 2011,respectively.

Wilson is an alumnus of Utah State University and the CBA/BAIGraduate School of Retail Bank Management and has spent the past 13years in the financial industry as a senior level professional,Chartway said.

Most recently he served as the first vice president for aleading financial firm where he helped lead an acquisition of twolarge financial institutions and spearheaded activities related togrowth, profit, expense control, branch integration, sales, andproduction.

Wilson also has extensive experience in revenue growth, newmarket entry, product development, lending, production, compliance,employee and business development, customer care, human resources,organic/inorganic growth, and culture integration, his new employersaid.
