MoveCU.com, a credit union shopping website and lead generatorthat debuted at the 2013 Conference of the Marketing Association ofCredit Unions in Las Vegas, has formed joint venture partnershipswith four organizations:

  • CreditJeeves.com, aMinnetonka, Minn.-based National Credit Reporting Agency that helpsconsumers improve their credit score and provides leads to autodealerships;

  • RentTrack.com, a newwebsite, also in Minnetonka, that helps college students and othertenants build a credit history by reporting rental payments to themajor credit bureaus and enables landlords to accept onlinepayments;

  • Woodlark Companies, basedin Miami, Fla., oversees more than 5,000 apartment units in 13states and at 21 different universities; and

  • WesPac Campus Communities,based in Santa Barbara, Calif., handles student housing at campusessuch as Michigan State University.

“Credit unions that subscribe to MoveCU will have theopportunity to market their products and services directly topotential members who use CreditJeeves and RentTrack, includingstudents living in properties managed by Woodlark and WestPac thatwill be invited to join RentTrack,” said Kevin Dawson, co-founderof MoveCU.com, which was launched by Santa Barbara, Calif.-basedOrien InvestmentsLLC.

“It's a completely new marketing technique for financialservices. Banner ads are customized with offers based on aconsumer's credit report and other consumer-supplied data. So, in away, it's similar to a pre-approval process. By combining ourpowerful search engine with the innovative technology created byour new partners, we will have an amazingly powerful force to helpcredit unions market services and products, such as loans, to earnnew members and new revenue.”

MoveCU.com began beta testing this month with CreditJeeves usersand the $188 million, 12,000-member Pacific Community Credit Unionin Fullerton, Calif., the company said, and other credit unionshave signed up for the beta test with the full roll-out set forJanuary.
