Longtime publications executive Mark Condon is retiringfrom CUNA, the trade group said on Monday.

Condon, senior vice president of business and consumerpublishing, will be stepping down on Sept. 30 and plans to pursue amaster's degree in history and plans to eventually teach, Madison,Wis.-based CUNA said in an announcement.

Condon has been involved with CUNA publications includingCredit Union Magazine, E-Scan and NewsNow, as well as with partnerships with groups such asCoopera and efforts such as International Credit Union Day, the announcement said.

“Mark is one of the most knowledgeable and highly regardedleaders at CUNA. His historical knowledge and passion about allthings credit unions always has been and continues to beimpressive,” CUNA President/CEO Bill Cheney said.

“We all thank Mark for his dedicated service, and wish himwell on all his future endeavors. He will be missed,” Cheneysaid.
