Inspired by a teller who wanted to do something after cancertook her grandfather, the “Fit Bottom Mamas” of the Yucaipa,Calif., branch of Arrowhead Credit Union raised $2,550 this year inthe recent Yucaipa Relay for Life. The gang of five set a goal of$1,000 and more than doubled that by selling hand-made scarves,blankets, baked goods and other items to each other and then itwent viral across the $755 million credit union.

“Everyone on our team had their lives touched by cancer in someway, so this was a very personal mission for us. It was amazing howour colleagues across Arrowhead got behind our effort,” said tellerCrystal Meyers. “Through their incredible support, we more thandoubled our goal and had a lot of fun along the way!”
