The $278 million E & A Credit Union in Port Huron, Mich., recently hosted a visit with students at Anchor Bay High School in Fair Haven and state Rep. Andrea LaFontaine (R-Columbus Township) as part of the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates' 10th Annual Financial Literacy Legislative Challenge.
“The presentations are a great way for E&A Credit Union to connect with the youth of our communities,” said Janice Rose, CEO at E&A Credit Union. “They have had to grow up during a very trying time with our struggling economy. It's very important for students to understand the benefits of properly managing their money.”
This school year, E&A said, it led about 20 presentations to approximately 500 students at Landmark Academy, Port Huron, Port Huron Northern and Anchor Bay high schools and St. Clair County Community College.
