NAFCU on Wednesday said it has promoted Anthony Demangone to the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Demangone had been senior vice president/COO and prior to that vice president of regulatory compliance. He joined the trade group in 2004 after working as an attorney in Washington and before that as a member services supervisor at Congressional FCU.
“With his enthusiasm, creativity, and can-do spirit, Anthony has truly raised the level of engagement and success within NAFCU the past two years.” said Fred Becker, outgoing NAFCU president/CEO.
Becker will be succeeded this summer by Dan Berger, currently executive vice president of government affairs.
Demangone is a compliance expert and creator of NAFCU’s management blog, Musings from the CU Suite, and prior to that, the Compliance Blog, NAFCU said.
He also has worked to expand NAFCU’s webcast and online training offerings and as EVP/COO, will oversee NAFCU’s operations, finance, events, education and member services.
