A branch of the $1 billion Harborstone Credit Union was damaged and four people suffered minor injuries after a car crashed into the side wall next to the drive-through teller window Monday, said police in Puyallup, Wash.
Police said a credit union employee was taken to a hospital for treatment and later released. The driver of the car, a passenger and an infant were treated at the scene for their minor injuries.
Because of privacy issues, Harborstone Credit Union President/CEO Phil Jones would only say the employee is fine and is resting at home.

"We hope to have her back in the next couple of days in the office," Jones said Tuuesday afternoon. "(The car crash) just completely destroyed our break room. To think that there could have been folks in there (had the crash occurred) during lunch time, it's really hard to think about. I was out there this morning talking to the staff, and everybody is very upset. It could have been tragic."
The accident is under investigation to determine whether the accident was caused by a mechanical failure or the driver's error, said Puyallup Police Capt. Scott Engle.
"Thus far, the investigation has revealed that prior to the collision the driver of the vehicle had been conducting a transaction at the drive up window," according to a police statement. "At some point during the transaction, the vehicle accelerated and drove through the side of the building."
The branch closed after the accident at about 1:45 p.m. Monday then re-opened Tuesday.
