A donation of 1,000 pounds of much-needed supplies for residentsof West, Texas – the community devastated by an April 17 fertilizerplant blast that killed 14 people – has been gathered by staff ofthe $2 billion, 171,300-member Texas Dow Employees CreditUnion.

The donation included a whole pallet of water, 50 boxes of latexgloves, 25 cases of hand wipes, 25 cases of hand sanitizer,numerous bags of diapers, hand-knitted quilts, children's clothesand cases of rubbing alcohol.

TDECU said Brazosport Movers in Angleton volunteered to helpdeliver the donated supplies to MSR Houston, a collection point forcommunity donations headed to West. The small community is about250 miles north of TDECU's home in Lake Jackson.
