The National Credit Union Foundation said it now has raisedmore than $230,000 to benefit credit union people affected byHurricane Sandy.

As donations are posted through CUAid.coop, NCUF iscoordinating with the New Jersey Credit Union League and the CreditUnion Association of New York to distribute money efficiently toaffected credit union employees and members.

“Over $100,000 has been distributed in aid to about 90 creditunion members, employees and volunteers,” Christopher Morris,spokesman for the NCUF in Madison. Wis., said Tuesday. “We continueto receive applications for assistance through both leagues.”
