The Credit Union Association of New York and its affiliates are closed Tuesday.

“The Albany County state of emergency resulting from Hurricane Sandy is still in effect,” said Bonnie Sklar, public relations coordinator for CUANY.

The $1.8 billion, 340,000-member Municipal Credit Union in New York City also is closed Tuesday.

CUANY is encouraging credit unions to keep the association informed about the storm's impact. The association is available to help credit unions coordinate assistance and organize resources.

New York credit unions should call the member services helpline at 1-800-342-9835, ext. 8546 or [email protected], or Tracy Conner, vice president of member relationship at 1-800-42-9835, ext. 8107 or [email protected].
