Looking to reduce travel time associated with PC troubleshootingtasks and eliminate costly PC refresh cycles, Redstone FCU embarked on a two phase computing infrastructureimprovement project that involves replacing about 460 PCs in its 22branches with Pano Logic's desktop virtualization in phase one thisyear, and replacing another 300 department PCs in phase two in2013, Pano Logic said.

“We started looking at Pano Logic because of the rising cost ofreplacing PCs every three years or so, but we immediately realizedthe benefits from centrally managing desktop computing, especiallywhen the users are far away,” said Lisa Whitt, assistant vicepresident of technology for Redstone FCU. “We are growing andplanning to expand, including outside of Alabama, and we needsomething to help us manage end users remotely.”
