The $3 billion San Antonio Federal Credit joined with Texas Public Radio and other community partners to help restore a savanna at a local park. The Sept. 29 project focused on planting native grass sprigs and was held in conjunction with National Public Lands Day. Similar projects have been held at other sites in and around San Antonio during the past 11 years.

“SACU is pleased to be part of this effort that has promotes beauty and conservation through our annual planting projects,” said Paige Ramsey-Palmer, SACU's corporate communications officer. “It is a pleasure to see a park restored to its former beauty, with lush savanna. Hardberger Park is one of our urban treasures, and National Public Lands Day brings focus to these green spaces.”
