A black tie event hosted by actress Marisa Ramirez and rocked out by Three Dog Night capped fundraising efforts that helped Virginia Beach, Va.-based Chartway Federal Credit Union's We Promise Foundation reach its goal of $750,000 this year to help children with life-threatening illnesses. A golf tournament and silent auction featuring donations from numerous celebrities and professional athletes also were part of this year's effort by the $1.9 billion Chartway in Virginia Beach and its Heritage West, SouthWest Community and Utah Central divisions. The We Promise Foundation has raised more than $4.5 billion since 1999.
