The Consumer Financial Protection Board announced that Centris Federal Credit Union Vice President of Alternative Financial Services Laura Castro de Cortes has been invited to serve as an inaugural member of the CFPB's consumer advisory board.
Castro de Cortes joins the federal board of 25 consumer and financial experts charged with advising the CFPB on industry and consumer insights across a range of issues and emerging market trends. Castro de Cortes is the only federal credit union representative named to the advisory board, the credit union said.
Centris Federal Credit Union, based in Omaha, Neb., has more than 73,000 members and assets of $447.2 million.
