Summit Business Media announced Tuesday that Credit UnionTimes Editor-in-Chief Sarah Snell Cooke has been promoted topublisher/editor-in-chief.

In addition, David Janoff, formerly East Coastsales director, has been promoted to national sales director.

Cooke will focus heavily on shaping andexecuting digital growth and product extension strategies forCredit Union Times. She is responsible foroverall financial performance, setting strategic direction, andensuring the franchise remains the leading source of informationand insight for credit union executives.

Cooke has been with CU Times sinceSept. 1, 2000, rising up the ranks from Washington reporter toeditor-in-chief and now publisher/editor-in-chief. Prior to thatshe also wrote for Credit Union Regulatory Insider. Shehas a bachelor's degree in political science with a minor injournalism and is pursuing an MBA.

In this new role, Janoff is responsiblefor managing the sales team and driving revenue to achieve ourfinancial goals. In addition, Janoff will work closely with Cookeand her team to develop and execute sustainable revenueopportunities and help shape and execute digital growthstrategy.

Prior to joining Credit UnionTimes in April as sales manager for the Northeast, Janoffspent 18 years at Pennwell as senior vice president of publishingand president of research, running their largest profit center, andmost recently was vice president of sales at Fierce markets,managing a team of 35 inside sales people. Janoff brings atremendous amount of experience to the position and a track recordof success, especially in digital and custom.
