Consumers have something to say about their banking and McGraw-Hill Federal Credit Union is ready to listen.
The East Windsor, N.J.-based credit union has launched a “We Hear You” initiative for consumers to share what they need and want from a banking partner.
Designed as a way to increase awareness of credit unions as an alternative to banks, the contest invites consumers to share their personal experiences with banks and credit unions via video and on Facebook.
Home video submissions will be accepted through September and a panel of judges will select five finalists. The over-$293 million credit union's Facebook fans will then vote for the top three winners who will receive $700, $400 and $200, respectively for first, second and third place.
In addition, McGraw-Hill FCU will randomly select two video submissions a week, rewarding them each with $25 Visa gift cards.
To kick off the awareness initiative, McGraw Hill FCU unveiled a microsite and an edgy, humorous video of its own, where consumers literally look beat up or run over by other financial institutions.
