Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, has promoted Todd Hashimoto to Kealakekua branch manager. Hashimoto has been with the financial institution for more than five years, most recently as a loan officer at the Kaloko Branch of Hawaii Community FCU. A graduate of Konawaena High School, Hashimoto holds an associate's degree in sales and marketing from Hawaii Community College-Hilo. His financial experience includes a stint with Central Pacific Bank as a loan officer. One of his duties as the Kealakekua branch manager will be to support the student credit union at Konawaena High School, where he was once a member.

San Diego County Credit Union, San Diego, named Ashlee Micale executive vice president/chief financial officer. Micale has direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning and treasury functions of SDCCU.  She has previously managed $1.1 billion as chief financial officer at Denver-based Public Service Credit Union. Micale has a bachelor's degree in business administration, majoring in accounting, and a master's degree in business administration, both from the University of Colorado. Micale is also involved in the credit union industry as a member of the CUNA CFO Council.

FORUM Credit Union, Indianapolis,  announced the hiring of MeChelle Callen, vice president of organizational development, and Rick Walke, assistant vice president of internal audit and compliance.  Callen joined FORUM in May 2012 as the vice president of organizational development.  Callen has nearly 25 years in organizational development and human resources, working in the not-for-profit health care and commercial real estate industries prior to coming to FORUM. She has focused much of her career on leadership development, diversity and inclusion, as well as human and organizational performance.  Callen holds a master's in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University, a bachelor of science from Ball State University and is an HRCI certified senior professional in human resources. Walke's career spans over 25 years with experience in internal audit, regulatory compliance, operations, information technology and corporate risk management. He began his career with an Indianapolis-based commercial bank and most recently spent 10 years at a savings bank. Walke earned a bachelor of science in accounting from Marian University in Indianapolis, and he holds a master's in business administration from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Bloomington.  Rick is certified in risk management assurance, and is also a certified public accountant and internal auditor.

Heritage Credit Union, Madison, Wis., hired Heather Paris as the operations director at the HCU corporate office. Paris has 10 years of credit union experience from her previous positions at Fort Community Credit Union and vice president of operations at St. Mary's Credit Union. She was also relationship development officer at Corporate Central Credit Union, working with credit unions throughout the state of Wisconsin. Paris is an active member in the Young Credit Union Professionals Council and Credit Union Governmental Affairs. At Heritage, Paris will be responsible for overseeing the supervision and direction of all eight branches.

Veridian Credit Union, Waterloo, Iowa, announced that Kristin Melhus has been promoted to the position of assistant to the president. Melhus has been employed at Veridian for more than seven years and was most recently the branch supervisor at the Veridian branch in West Des Moines. She has a bachelor's degree in general studies from the University of Northern Iowa. 

Prospera Credit Union, Appleton, Wis., announced Amy Schindler as the new chief financial officer. Schindler is replacing previous chief financial officer, Sheila Schinke, who was promoted to chief executive officer in April of last year. Schindler worked with Prospera for nearly 13 years previously and is now returning to take on the chief financial role. She earned her bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, and in accounting from Lakeland College. In 2007 she earned her CPA designation. Schindler also serves as treasurer for the Fox Cities Chapter of Women in Management.

MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union, Macon, Ga., announced that store development and service manager, Eric Bobo, has been promoted to vice president of operations. Bobo has been with MidSouth Community since 2011, and has over eight years of banking experience. Bobo received his bachelor of arts in economics from Duke University. 

Local Government Federal Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C., recently announced the appointment of Sherry Bear to the newly created position of vice president for consumer lending. Bear has 25 years of experience in accounting and financial management. She joins LGFCU after already providing the credit union with her consulting skills over the past year. Prior to that, she served as a consultant for the North Carolina Credit Union Division and the executive consulting firm Tatum, as well as vice president/controller at Square 1 Bank in Durham. At LGFCU, Bear is responsible for the consumer loan portfolio, including monitoring and analysis, underwriting and portfolio risk mitigation. She will also focus on researching and implementing programs that will increase consumer loan growth. Bear has a bachelor of science in industrial relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is a certified public accountant and certified credit union executive.

SECU, Linthicum, Md., has named April Seymour to manage its Annapolis branches. Seymour will be responsible for supervising both the Annapolis West Street and Annapolis Towne Centre locations. Seymour joins SECU from Bank of America, where she was vice president in charge of leading and developing associates to meet client needs and achieve company objectives. She also was responsible for generating and overseeing the real estate loan process.
