The $158 million YOUR Community Credit Union participated in theFourth of July parade in Coppell, Texas, for the fifth year. Theparade is held in neighborhoods and draws two to three thousandresidents cheering for the fire trucks, funny costumes, colorfulfloats and candy, said Rick Stokes, the Irving, Texas, creditunion's vice president of marketing.

“Being named 'Most Spirited' finalist one year and 'BestDecorated' another has helped the credit union be recognized,” saidRick Stokes, vice president of marketing at YOUR Community CU. “ButI really think the success of our name and brand recognition in thearea has simply been participating year after year and beinginvolved in other activities in the community.”

He said YOUR Community CU has been voted Coppell's best creditunion for two years in a row, and that the 12,200-member creditunion plans to add a second community July 4th parade toits schedule next year.

The parking lot was a place to gather before and after theparade, and a good place to get in the spirit.
